The substantial and integrated cultural development of the Municipality and the deep cultivation of artistic sensitivity and love for the arts, the protection of the national cultural identity, the reduction of cultural intellectual and artistic goods to organic elements of everyday life and the active and conscious participation of citizens in the cultural life of the Municipality.
Activities related to sports.
The sports activities concern the cooperation with the sports clubs and the other sports bodies of the Municipality, the support of their activities, the organization and operation of a municipal gym, amateur sports classes, the organization of periodicals and annual team or individual sports and mass sports games, the organization of motor sports races, for the participation of young people and in general the residents of the Municipality in sports activities and events and through them the important, cultural, spiritual and social development of the residents of the Municipality and promote cooperation with other sports.
The activities related to the environment concern:
The implementation of programs related to the management of the natural and urban environment of the region of the Municipality, the awareness of citizens and residents on relevant issues, the promotion of environmental education, active participation in relevant programs of the European Union, the provision of consulting services on issues pollution, traffic and greenery of the Municipality, the development and promotion of collaborations with University and Public Organizations and Public Utilities in general.
The utilization and management of the free spaces of the Municipality with the creation of promenades, sports spaces, entertainment spaces and cultural events.
The implementation of a recycling program with sorting at source.
The organization and expansion of activities related to the beautification and aesthetics of the settlements of the Municipality.
The creation of a department of Traffic Education and Environmental education up to the age of 12.
The management of the Volcanological Museum of Nisyros and any other infrastructure, in the context of the wider management of the volcano of Nisyros.
The development of collaborations with community, public, university organizations, private bodies, companies and public benefit bodies for the promotion of programs and actions in general, in order to protect and highlight the natural wealth of Nisyros. The organization of the Health and Social Welfare services, the improvement of the quality of life and the provision of the necessary infrastructures for the implementation of relevant programs.

The creation and operation of Health Departments of Preventive Hygiene, Psychological Support and Medical Counseling.
The operation of Day Care Centers for the Elderly (K.H.F.H.).
